I am Eugene Jamerlan, a member of the Iloilo City Cultural Heritage Conservation Council in Iloilo City, Philippines. A few years back the Carpenter Bridge that was named after your father was scheduled to be torn down but through the intervention of some offices including this council it has been preserved. The bridge is now going to be part of a linear park and is due to be inaugurated this February 15. I have been given the honor to write about your father in a local magazine as well as develop banner information material about your father’s accomplishments. I have read the chapter on his life here: http://books.google.com.ph/books?id=CdVeDWq6NZEC&pg=PA85&lpg=PA85&dq=Frank+Watson+Carpenter+philippines&source=bl&ots=MCnF5iuT8m&sig=xGws1a4ucAYShYO-mx_tIzYZjC0&hl=tl&ei=XZJQTZiJNYmecKmvvdwG&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBQQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Frank%20Watson%20Carpenter%20philippines&f=false
If it is possible may I use the pictures in your blog as part of the article and the banners we will display at the bridge? I know this is very short notice but I only got to see your blog a few minutes ago. I will document the occasion and send you all information that will develop out of this auspicious connection. I wait for your reply in earnest.
Thank you very much for your time and my best regards to you and your family.
